Tazewell, VA – A fatal crash in Tazewell resulted in one death and two injuries earlier today. At approximately 8:28 a.m., a 2004 Buick Rendezvous SUV traveling east on Gratton Rd. crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2014 Chevrolet bus owned by the Clinch Valley Community Action – Head Start Program. The bus had only one juvenile passenger on board at the time of the incident.

Tragically, the driver of the Buick was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver sustained life-threatening injuries and has been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The child passenger was also taken to Tazewell Community Hospital to receive medical attention for minor injuries.

The Virginia State Police Wytheville Division’s Crash Reconstruction Team and Motor Carrier Safety Team are currently on site, assisting with the ongoing investigation into the crash. Tazewell County Sheriff Brian Hieatt confirmed that the collision occurred between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Friday at the intersection of Gratton Road and Bourne Road in Tazewell.

Emergency response teams from various rescue and fire departments, as well as the Virginia State Police and the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office, promptly arrived at the scene to provide assistance.

The Virginia State Police will lead the investigation into the incident. As of now, no further details regarding additional injuries or fatalities have been released.

Auburn crash: A serious accident has unfolded in Auburn, resulting in several individuals sustaining injuries. The incident occurred at the intersection of College Street and East University, where an ambulance was involved in a collision. Eyewitness Rebecca Riggs captured a photograph showing the ambulance being struck on its side by another vehicle.

Riggs, who was present at the scene, shared her observations. Despite the severity of their own injuries, one of the medics involved in the crash immediately prioritized aiding the injured driver of the other vehicle. Riggs commended the selflessness displayed by the medic, emphasizing that she tended to the injured driver before addressing her own pain and injuries.

The identities and current conditions of those involved in the Auburn crash have not been disclosed. However, it is hoped that all individuals affected by the accident will recover from their injuries.

The V.I. Police Department has issued an Amber Alert for 16-year-old Kyjauni Joseph, who was last seen on Thursday at 3 p.m. at 37 Mount Pleasant in Frederiksted. Joseph, described as having a medium complexion with brown eyes and dreadlocks, stands at 5’7” and weighs approximately 175 lbs with a medium build. He has a speech disorder and ADHD, according to the alert.

Bloomsburg, PA – Authorities are actively searching for two suspects following a shooting incident at a local Home Depot in Bloomsburg. The incident took place this morning, but no injuries have been reported thus far. Details regarding the incident remain limited.

The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) in Stroudsburg have issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert for a Dark Blue Nissan bearing Pennsylvania license plate MDG2541. The vehicle is believed to be occupied by two Black males, with the driver reportedly wearing a Red Shirt and Black Pants, and the passenger wearing a Navy Blue Shirt.

The shooting incident occurred earlier today during an encounter with Hemlock Township Police in Columbia County. The suspects were last seen heading eastbound on I-80 near mile marker 232 at approximately 8:39 AM. It is currently unknown whether anyone in the vehicle sustained injuries, but the authorities suspect the vehicle may have bullet holes.

Authorities urge anyone who spots the described vehicle or suspects to immediately contact 911 or the Stroudsburg State Police. Further information regarding the incident is expected to be released as the investigation progresses.

EL PASO, Texas – A 25-year-old man was shot and killed outside the Coralito Restaurant in the 2700 block of North Mesa and Baltimore early Friday morning. Police have confirmed that the victim succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.

According to authorities, the incident occurred as the victim and another individual were leaving the PROFE Cantina and crossing the street. As they walked towards the parking lot in front of the Coralito Restaurant, the 25-year-old man was shot by an unidentified assailant.

In a separate but potentially related incident, another shooting took place at the corner of Mesa and Baltimore around the same time. Police have stated that both shootings happened in close proximity but are yet to confirm any connection between the two incidents.

The suspect responsible for the fatal shooting fled the scene, prompting a call to authorities at approximately 2:18 a.m. The investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway.

The parking lot of the Coralito Restaurant has been cordoned off with yellow and red tape, although traffic in the area remains unaffected.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of a juvenile suspect believed to be responsible for an accidental shooting that took place at the North Point Mall carnival on Wednesday night.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – Law enforcement officials from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident involving a shooting near Hillsboro Road and Charlestown Pike in the Hillsboro area on Thursday. The shooting occurred shortly before 12 p.m., prompting the closure of surrounding roads.

The incident unfolded near the Old Stone School, which serves as the town council’s building, according to Hillsboro Mayor Roger Vance. As a precautionary measure, government employees entered a lockdown while deputies conducted their investigation.

Hillsboro Charter Academy, as confirmed by a spokesperson from Loudoun County Public Schools, was placed under a “Secure the Building” status. RANTOUL, Illinois – The Rantoul Police Department has disclosed the identities and work backgrounds of the two officers connected to a recent shooting incident. In coordination with the Champaign County Multi-Jurisdictional Investigative Team (CCMJIT), led by the Illinois State Police, the Rantoul Police are fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

The CCMJIT is actively conducting interviews, gathering evidence, and preparing reports. Once their portion of the investigation concludes, a comprehensive report will be submitted to the Champaign County State’s Attorney. Rantoul Police Chief Anthony Brown expressed support for the investigation, emphasizing the importance of promptly providing the public with a thorough account of the events.

Chief Brown acknowledged the complexities of the investigation, citing the need to collect and analyze multiple pieces of evidence, including video footage and witness statements. He encouraged the community to be patient and understanding during this process.

Decatur, AL – On June 7, 2023, authorities responded to reports of shots fired near McDonald Ct. SW in Morgan County. The incident occurred around 11:55 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Decatur Police Department.

During the course of their journey to the scene, officers received a distress call from a woman who claimed to have been shot while inside her residence on Wimberly Dr. SW. It is suspected that her injury is connected to the earlier reports of gunfire.

The injured woman was promptly located and subsequently airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for medical attention. She was later transferred to UAB, where she remains in a stable condition.

Upon investigation, law enforcement officers discovered multiple shell casings at the scene. They also determined that three apartments and two vehicles had sustained damage as a result of the shooting.

Peoria, IL – Qualin C. Lewis (DOB: 10/13/99) has been arrested in connection with the shooting incident targeting Peoria County Deputies on March 16, 2023. Following an extensive investigation, authorities obtained sufficient evidence to support probable cause for Lewis’ arrest. Peoria County Sheriff’s Investigators, Peoria Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) collaborated on the case and conducted surveillance on Lewis.

On June 7, 2023, law enforcement agencies apprehended Lewis in an apartment located in the 2800 block of Ann St at approximately 2:30 p.m. During the arrest, officers discovered a Draco AK-47 pistol in the apartment. Lewis now faces multiple charges, including two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and a Department of Corrections Parole Warrant. Additional charges may be added later by the State’s Attorney.

The initial incident occurred in the early hours of March 16, 2023, when Peoria County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a Shotspotter alert indicating four gunshots in the 2800 block of W. Ann St. Upon arrival, deputies encountered an armed black male wearing a hoodie, who immediately fired several shots at the officers. Thankfully, the deputies were unharmed. The suspect managed to flee the scene on foot and evaded capture. Two firearms, one of which was reported stolen from Chicago, were recovered, along with shell casings.
