One Shot in Ongoing Bolingbrook Incident; Shelter-in-Place Orders Issued

Bolingbrook, Illinois – Residents in Bolingbrook have been urged to shelter in place as authorities respond to an ongoing police investigation. The situation unfolded earlier today, with reports of an active shooter in the area.

The incident, which reportedly began in the vicinity of Boughton and Weber, prompted immediate action. As of the latest information available, no specific details regarding the incident at Boughton and Weber have been disclosed.

Additionally, residents near Boughton & Falconridge received a phone message alerting them to the situation, while others reported receiving similar notifications, including a text message that mentioned an “active shooter” near Boughton and 53.

Numerous schools in the Bolingbrook area were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure. Will County authorities also sent out an automated call, underlining the seriousness of the situation.
