One Injured in Shooting Incident at Myles Standish State Forest

PLYMOUTH – Massachusetts State Police are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident near Fearing Pond in Myles Standish State Forest. The incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. yesterday, triggering a swift response from authorities.

Law enforcement officials have cordoned off a significant area with police tape and have placed multiple evidence markers throughout the scene. While details remain limited, Plymouth Police have confirmed that a suspect is now in custody, reassuring the public that there is no immediate threat to their safety.

Following the shooting, a victim, described as an adult male, was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have reached out to the Plymouth District Attorney’s office to assist in the ongoing investigation.
