Michael Fairman TV was the first to report the news of the actor’s passing. According to Michael Fairman, the actor’s death was confirmed by someone at The Belmont in Los Angeles. The Belmont is a restaurant bar that the actor co-owned.

Billy first got into acting after he was signed to Wilhelmina modelling agency, with him then appearing on a slew of television commercials. In the early stages of career he appeared on adverts for the likes of JCPenney and Pizza Hut.

According to his publicist, Miller died of complications from a neurological disorder called progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), which affects the brain and causes problems with balance, movement, vision, speech, and cognition.
Miller had been diagnosed with PSP in 2021 and had been undergoing treatment ever since.

In 2006, when he was 26, Billy starred in CSI: NY before he landed the role of Richie Novak on the ABC Daytime soap opera All My Children, with his first appearance being on August 30, 2007.

After his character’s demise, Billy landed a role on The Young and the Restless. He took on the role of Billy Abbott and made his first appearance on the show in the autumn of 2008. He is also known for having starred in independent movie Remembering Nigel, as well as becoming landing a role in CW Network’s thriller Ringer.

In 2014 it was then announced that Billy would take on the role of Jason Morgan in General Hospital, with his portrayal garnering him a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor. But in 2017 Steve Burton returned to the role of Jason, so Billy ended up taking on the role of Drew Cain before exiting the soap opera in 2019. He also starred in hit series Suits as Marcus.

Upon the announcement of Billy’s tragic passing, fans of the actor were quick to pay their respects on social media. One person took to Twitter, which is now known as X, to write: “I am so sad to learn of Billy Miller passing I loved watching him on all my children young and the restless and general hospital May he rest in peace.”
